Job 'updates' feed
Transcription:
In this tutorial, we're going to take a look at the updates feed, and user history.
Once a booked job has been created, the layout would look like this.
The next tab along from "Booked Job Details" is the updates feed.
Updates can happen in two ways.
The first way is manually entering the update with free text using this page.
We'll type in the update and mention a colleague. Mentioning Jenny Doe will cause her to receive a notification which provides a direct hyperlink to the update.
We can also upload a document to accompany this update. When finished, select 'Create'.
The update has been added, and the colleague has been notified.
The other way an update can happen is by sending documents.
Back on the 'Booked Job Details' tab, if we select 'Generate Booking Confirmation' and send it, we have the ability to include a personal message.
We can also include an attachment with the booking confirmation.
This information will be sent as an e-mail to the e-mail address associated with the job's customer.
When finished, select 'Send'.
You will be notified that the document was sent. Click 'Back to List' to return to the job.
Back in the 'Updates' tab, we can see that the system has a record of us sending the document. While we wait, let's discuss user history.
At the bottom of the page, we can see the date a job was created, and the user who created it, as well as 'Date Modified' and by whom it was modified.
This applies to all other documents on the job.
After about 30 seconds, the details of what we sent have been processed. We can see our personal message in the middle section, and the attachment is below.
That will be all for updates and user history.
