Searching, sorting and filtering lists

Transcription:

In this tutorial, we're going to take a look at the search engine, sorting and filtering system for booked jobs.

To find something specific, we can use the search bar. To demonstrate, we'll type in a container number and click search.

The job associated with that container number has appeared at the top.

Now let's take a look at the columns.

Each column has a bold green heading, and each one is seperated by a divider.

You can click and drag the dividers to make a column bigger or smaller.

Some columns have options for you to narrow down and sort your list.

The 'Date Created' heading has a symbol next to it, which represents that you can filter the results based on the date a job was created.

When we click on the symbol, we can change the filter such that it only shows results created between a range of dates.

Next is the "Customer" heading. We can click the filter icon, click 'deselect all', and then check the box for a specific customer. In this case, we'll check the box for a customer called "All Big Metals".

When we apply the filter, we will only see results associated with that customer.

If a column has an arrow symbol, you can click it to sort the list in ascending or DEscending order.

Now you know how to search, sort and filter the list of booked jobs.
